Maria Rico launched Essentially Rico in August 2020 with a mission to create all-natural products derived from essential oils. She believes there is no better comfort than knowing exactly what goes into the products you use at home and on your body.

 

Maria's journey with essential oils began in 2017 after discovering the level of toxicity found in many household and beauty products purchased off the shelf. She knew she wanted to create a safer home environment for her family, so she began researching and learning about the benefits of essential oils. Eventually, she started replacing store-bought products with all-natural products she made at home. 

 

As a wife and working mother of two boys, Maria never thought of opening a small business. But when the pandemic hit in 2020, Maria found herself at home a lot more and the idea of selling some of the products she makes came to life. With the encouragement of friends and family, Maria began making larger batches of products and selling them to her local network. While her small business journey has just begun, she hopes to be able to expand her client base and continue sharing the benefits of her all-natural products.
